Yoga for Overall Wellbeing

In the wake of the lockdown due to pandemic, JD Institute wanted to ensure physical well being of each one who has been a part of it including all the campuses across. We are committed to making better and responsible designers for tomorrow, but feel it is also our duty to keep a check on the mental health of this generation. The lock down may have a varied impact on some and we would like to help students adopt productive habits for the next few days.

For the same reason, the college organized a session in collaboration with Isha Foundation on ‘Yoga for Overall Wellbeing’ on 22nd May 2021, Saturday from 11am – 12 pm. The idea was to motivate JEDIIIANS, Alumni and Faculty along with their family members to adopt healthy lifestyle in constructive manner living under quarantine.

Yoga Class
  • The session was taken by Isha Foundation Volunteer, Ishanga Mr Keshav Singla, where he briefed all the students about the mudras and told them about the video from Sadhguru including health tips and yogic kriyas & practices for daily life. There was good number of interactions from campuses about how to modify the yoga pose in a certain medical condition. All the questions were answered by Ms. Tripti another Ishanga from Isha Foundation.

The other yogic kriya was Simha kriya.
