  • Sustainable designers aim at making the indoors or buildings greener and environment friendly. They provide energy saving designs to households. They have an official certification in Leadership in energy and environmental design (LEED) from the US Green Building Council. 
  • Universal designers make workplaces or residential spaces more efficient for use of people from all age groups. They make sure that the general public is comfortable and safer at these places.

Interior designing is a booming field and can be pursued in many ways. Some professionals choose to be freelancers and get paid at the completion of every assignment.
