It all started in 2012 when my dad had bought me a barbie set, but the set didn’t have many dresses. So, I decided to stitch some more and, I did with my mom’s help. I started doing all these DIYs, slashing and cutting clothes, painting them, using glitters, and giving them a new look. I didn’t realize where all these small steps were taking me until I landed at JD Institute. After deciding what I want to do after school, it was time for me to search for a college that would suit me the best. While exploring, I learned about JD Institute of Fashion Technology; my father and I visited the institute in March 2019, and somehow that first itself was enough for me to understand that this is what I want and need.
I attended the TFA the same year and was happy to know that my designs will be on that runway in the coming years. I’ve been learning new things, improving skills and, growing as a human being since the day I joined JD Institute and, I’m planning to keep doing that. In my opinion, growth is very crucial in one’s life so, if you ever feel you’re not growing by doing certain things, stop right there and start learning new things. After all, “keep learning, keep growing”!
