Jewellery Design students of JD Institute of Fashion Technology, Delhi got a chance to visit The Delhi Jewellery and Gem Fair at Pragati Maidan on 29^th September, 2018. It is North India’s largest, international B2B jewellery fair. It is held annually on a pan-India level. It exhibits finished jewellery, gemstones, pearls, diamonds, silver jewellery, machinery and equipment, software and allied products, proliferating new innovation and technology on a global stage. It brings top-notch jewellers, importers, exporters, distributors on the same stage and provides them level playing field to excel and innovate further.

Students Visit to Delhi Jewellery & Gem Fair was an amazing experience where they interacted with various jewellery brands. This Fair was a great opportunity for students to shine up their industry skills and know about the latest & trending innovation and trends.

For the first time, specific activities had been planned for upcoming designers to hone their skills. Students actively participated in various on the spot competitions including Designing Contest and Gemology Quiz. They could express their creativity and exhibit their talent and knowledge in the field of gemology.

They also received complete training on Diamonds and Moissanite. The training covered basic knowledge and identification of diamonds and moissanite. This was followed by a certificate distribution ceremony.

It was a great learning Experience for students where they got a chance to network with International Jewellery experts and introduce themselves as  Jewellery Designers. JD Institute believes in learning through exposure. Meeting new people and interacting with them inculcates confidence and a better understanding of the subject area.
