On 17th April, 2018, Interior Design Students of JD Institute, Kanpur and East Delhi visited DS Doors, an integrated manufacturing plant that has 40 years of experience in wood science and technology.
Students saw the entire process of manufacturing doors, furniture, modular kitchens, wardrobes, starting from logs of wood to final products.
They also got exposure to different types of wood like Shisham, Rosewood, Burma Teak, C.P Teak, Arjun wood etc.
They saw machines used for wood sawing, sanding, seasoning, panelling, grooving and polishing.
The visit enriched students’ understanding of wood processing and manufacturing.
