How Vastu Brings Health & Prosperity in Homes

Vastu Shastra is necessary for the construction of any building, from residential to commercial, and owners may achieve prosperity and happiness by properly placing the five elements (earth, water, air, fire, and space). Directions are also crucial in the science of architecture. According to the teachings, honouring and idolising the God of the Eight Directions (North, South, East, West, North-East, South-East, South-West, North-West) brings success, health, and prosperity into our lives.

Vastu tips for kitchen

  • Although the kitchen’s southeast orientation is perfect, bright colour combinations help to trigger the fire components.
  • To brighten this area of the building, select shades of yellow, light pink, peach, or brown. Avoiding colours of black or red would be beneficial.
  • Food must be prepared in a positive atmosphere because it gives us energy. As a result, the chef must cook with his or her back to the East in order to maintain good health.
  • Keep the cooking gas burner to the southeast, the washbasin or sink to the northeast and the grain or spice jars to the south or west.
  • Keep the kitchen slab and utensils clean at all times. Before going to bed, clean them.

Vastu Tips for Bedroom

We need our regular dose of good sleep to wake up refreshed, so the bedroom is the most important part of our house. Sleeping in the wrong place will make you sick. As a consequence, to Vastu-proof this space, follow these simple guidelines:

  • Maintain south or west-facing bed, especially in the master bedroom. This means that the legs are facing north or east. It encourages mental well-being, prosperity, and even better sleep quality.
  • Mirrors should never face the bed, which means they should not be reflected in your sleep. As a result, put them on the north or west walls.
  • Colours like red/pink, orange, white, and brown reflect warmth, ambition, harmony, and stability (respectively).
  • Instead of having windows behind the bunk, consider putting them on the eastern or northern walls.

Tips for Toilet or Bathroom

Toilets and toilets, according to ancient architecture science, are the most important sources of harmful energy entering the home. As a consequence, they must only be built according to Vastu Shastra. Here are some important sanitation tips:

  • Toilets and bathrooms must be located in the northwest corner of the house, never sharing a wall with the kitchen or the Pooja room, and never under the stairs.
  • Since the toilet is used to dispose of waste, it should not be installed somewhere other than the west or northwest.
  • Soft pastel colours like yellow, grey and light blue are appropriate for toilets.
  • You could use the north or east wall for mirrors, and your washbasin could be placed accordingly.
  • Avoid the southeast or southwest corner of the space if there is an attached toilet.

Tips for Room of Worship

The Pooja room should be in the north, east, or northeast direction at all times. When praying, keep your back to the east/north wall. Did you know that no idols should be present in the pooja-ghar? If you want to keep them, make sure they aren’t cracked or chipped. Here are some more ideas to make it your home’s most prosperous corner:

  • If your home has several floors, the pooja-ghar should be constructed on the ground floor; however, it should never be built in the basement.
  • If the idols must be held in the pooja space, they must not face east or the door, and they must not be placed against a wall.
  • The room should be used solely for the purpose of worshipping God. Avoid storing too much stuff in or around the pooja ghar that you don’t need.
  • White, blue, yellow, or any other soothing colour family should be used in this space.

According to conventional philosophy, any entity in a house emits energy, either positive or negative, and the person who lives there is influenced by that energy. If it is negative, it can lead to defeats, relationship failures, poor financial transactions, and much more; if it is good, it can lead to satisfaction, enlightenment, and efficiency. As a result, for safe and happy families, it is critical to concentrate on key Vastu elements.
