A super fun personal styling workshop was hosted at JD Institute of Fashion Technology, Hauz Khas Village to understand more about one’s distinctive style. The aim of the hands-on workshop was to equip the students with the knowledge, practical skills and confidence to style themselves like a pro. A professional stylist and image consultant was invited to talk with students and introduce them to the nuances of personal styling.

The workshop broadly covered identifying one’s personal style, dressing up according to the body shape, face & colour analysis, creating illusions and camouflage in dressing & makeup, styling tips and tricks. Students volunteered to understand their assets and flaws. They learnt to identify their face shape; body type and the ways to make the face and figure look more flattering.

At JD Institute, we believe that every designer also needs to understand styling not only for personal enhancement but also to escalate the style statement of the clients. It adds to one’s confidence and helps in creating good first impressions.
