JD Institute of Fashion Technology, New Delhi, conducted a workshop on ‘Design & Make-up Trends” to herald the festive season. Come Diwali and wedding season, all traditional clothes are out of the bag.
The festivities and gatherings mean ‘getting ready’ for the big day and it calls for making the right choice. Picking the suitable colours, designs and styles for the festive season was the theme of this year’s ‘Design & Makeup trends’ workshop hosted by JD Institute of Fashion Technology
Rina Dhaka graced the occasion and shared tips on hot trends. She shared the latest fashion trends. Fuchsia is the ‘hottest’ colour of the season internationally while in Indian fashion pastel colours are still in vogue. In terms of clothing- layering, kurta with a twist and all kinds of Indian wear like saree, sharara, lehnga etc make a huge hit for Diwali time. Women are spoilt for choices, but men are not far behind. Head Gears are very popular with metrosexual men along with light beard and sunglasses.
Rina Dhaka shared “It is important to form your own style and not borrow or imitate celebrities. Go with what suits you and makes you feel comfortable and just carry it well. That is the key to looking elegant and stylish.” She added “While there are different make-up types, the best make-up is only a Smile.”
The other guest at the event was Ms Rita Gangwani, renowned grooming expert who gave numerous beauty and skincare tips to the youngsters in college. The event was attended by a number of renowned bloggers as well.
