What is the eligibility criteria to get admission to a fashion designing course in India?

Undergraduate courses in fashion designing- Candidates applying for bachelor of fashion design must have cleared 10+2 classes under a recognized or central board of education and have received more than 50% aggregate marks. The two undergraduate degrees in fashion designing are- B.Sc in Fashion designing and B.An in Fashion designing.
  2. Postgraduate courses in fashion designing- Students applying for these courses must have passed an undergraduate programme and have a bachelor of fashion degree from a recognized board of college/university in a relevant subject to the course. They must have achieved a particular score or more as pre-established by the institution or university that serves them the postgraduate degree (generally, the cut-off mark is 50%). The two postgraduate degrees are an M.Sc in fashion designing and M.A. in fashion designing.
  3. Diploma courses in fashion designing- Candidates must have passed 10+2 classes from a recognized board of education or the central education panel in India with a minimum of 50%. 

Skills required to be a recognized fashion designer:

Students interested in fashion designers must complete fashion design courses and get degrees; the minimum degree necessary to be a fashion designer is a bachelor of fashion design.
