Draping is an art which is an important form of design. When the structure is draped with a garment it should express texture, fluidity, fall and fold. And the process of pinning and positioning fabric or any other material on a dress plays a very important role to develop the advance garment design. At the beginning of any design process, the fashion designer has two ways of creating a garment: either one can use a design sketch as a basis or they can play with the way a fabric falls.

Usually, Fashion draping and fitting are done with muslin. However, students of JD institute of Fashion Technology, used different materials like strings, jute and fabric scraps to give a creative, beautiful look to the dummy.

Draping is an art that has existed since the ancient world. The art is still continued with modern twist and styles to give a variation in it. Today Draping is taught as an independent subject in all the fashion design institutes. JD Institute encourages the talent of young creative minds and provides the necessary training required for all the fashion designing programs.
