Communication Design is a professional program for students who desire to investigate the latest communication techniques and the artistic possibilities of the interaction of words and images in conventional and cutting-edge media. Broadly speaking, communication design encompasses everything from printed materials to interactive displays, all of which are used to communicate with and inform people/users.
JD Institute of Fashion Technology offers a Bachelor of Design (B. Des) in Communication Design- a four-year undergraduate degree program that aims to develop professionals who can contribute to the highly competitive and dynamic world of design. The Communication Design Course at JD Institute of Fashion Technology provides the ideal balance of hard skills, soft skills, and new media skills (with cutting-edge software).

With a focus on the individuals impacted by any designed or structured communication, the course takes a problem-solving approach to communication. The program’s objective is to train students for careers as communication designers and planners.
This 4-year B. Des in Communication Design course is specifically created to concentrate on the academic disciplines that will be most helpful to the student’s future study goals. Its objective is to foster an awareness of all facets of communication, whether it be through print or interactive displays, message-enhancing animation, or the creation of videos or films. We take a problem-solving approach to communication, which enables students to learn how to interact with their preferred media in the most effective way possible.
Finding engaging ways to share stories is at the heart of this stream. Students learn how to establish fundamental knowledge and skills for using a sketchbook effectively, investigate recording techniques, develop visual perception, create professional attitudes for setting projects, and demonstrate a critical, contextual, and historical understanding of the field of design.
The Communication Design Course helps students become superior communication planners and designers in the fields of print communication, design planning, dynamic information design, interactive multimedia, internet communication, graphic design, video film design, animation film design, and lastly responsive design.
B. Des Communication Design graduates can find employment in an advertising agency, publishing companies, new media/multimedia studios, multidisciplinary consultancies, and graphic design consultancies.
