BSc Interior Design Syllabus

Eligibility

1. You must have completed your 10+2 level. 
2. At least an aggregate of 45 per cent is required.
3. Should not have failed in any subject.

Courses for Designing 

Now coming to the course, the syllabus for the interior design consists of:

1. Introduction to design: In this, you will be taught all about the importance of designing and various other aspects related to it. You need to understand the intricacies involved and the fundamentals of designing. 
2. Definition and meaning of design: Fundamentals will be dealt with under this. 
3. Examples of design and nature: In this, you will be taught all about the importance of line, point, shape, etc. consider this more like the basic of drawing structure. 
4. Fundamental elements of design: All the aspects of design, 2-D,3-D, etc. 
5. Concept of geometry: this is crucial since this will play a vital role in your shape and design formation. It is the backbone of your design. 
6. Colour psychology: Understanding colour psychology and its effect on our mind are fundamental. This will give you a brief idea about the colour pattern.
7. Colour wheel: You will learn the colour, what type of colour will be used for inside or outside front, etc. 
8. Art and graphics: all about the forms of art and graphics basics will be dealt with. Quite a fun subject if you ut your time and energy into it. 
9. Basic design principles: All the principles f designing will be taught to you under this subject. 
10. English language and usage essentials: English is ubiquitous and is needed everywhere. Given the opportunities for designing offers at both the national and international levels, English becomes the prerequisite. 
11. Material and construction techniques: What material to be used for a particular area, the methods to be adopted, etc. will be dealt with under this. 
12. History of interior design: All about history, and it’s an evolution in the status quo. This will allow you to expand your perspective.
13. Model making workshop: It is more like a practical thing. You will be required to make the model and present it to the professor. Quite fun and helps to solidify your grasp over designing.
14. Drawing technique: there are specific techniques involved in the drawing, and its basics will be dealt with under this subject.

Scope After Interior Design 

There is ample scope of interior design both at the national as well as international level. You have to work hard and excel in your studies. Additionally, you have to keep pace with your internship program as well. This will give you age over other people. 

You can be an independent interior designer or even venture for a diploma or masters in designing or any other relevant field. You can work in,
