AMAZING VISIT TO PERO STUDIO TO MEET DESIGNER ANEETH ARORA

On Saturday 5th may’18, students of Fashion Design and Fashion Communication visited Péro studio. They got a tremendous opportunity to meet one of the topmost, creative designers of the fashion industry and to understand the methods of enhancing brand identity. Students were given a guided tour of the work shop. They were allowed to meet tailors, embroiderers, karigars. There saw women weavers working under Péro who showed amazing hand embroidery and weaving skills. The workshop was divided into segments of manufacturing, sourcing, hand printing fabrics and retailing under one roof. Their team showed the students their recent collection’s fabrics, trims, and also how they are branding their garments in terms of stitching logos or putting creative tags.

The high point of the visit was a close interaction with the designer, Aneeth Arora, She welcomed students with Péro’s customized candies. She explained how much hard work her each team member puts to make her extremely beautiful collection for the ramp.

As she started explaining about the press kits, our fashion communication students asked her a lot of questions and the conversation became very interesting and she explained her inspiration behind every collection and related press kit ideas of past 13 years, one by one herself. While working for press kit she tries to target all 5 senses of human body like adding fragrance, adding something to eat, creating humor etc.

She said wherever she travels, who ever she meets, becomes her inspiration. She targets to bring a fun element on ramp through these inspirations like back to school days, find the lady bug, floral and pink for winters, girls on sleepover etc.

Her work and her words were really inspiring for our students. They are now very excited to do the project on press kits for The Fashion Awards. The designer herself gave a lot of ideas about how to communicate the inspiration in the most creative formats. It was a memorable visit for the students.
