Mrs. Rupal Dalal

“It doesn’t matter how slow you are, as long as you don’t stop walking or dreaming, so dream my jediiians” Mrs. Rupal Dalal is the Managing director for JD Image Promotions Ltd, the parent company of Jd institute of fashion technology. An institution that is today recognized as one of the pioneers and the major design institute in India, having a national presence with 40 campuses. She firmly believes in the right to quality education and hence has made design education accessible through campuses around India. She was awarded the times power icon award in 2019 for her exemplary contribution to the field of education.
You would often hear her promoting humanity-centric design instead of human-centric design on campus. Mrs. Dalal has always strived to give students the opportunity to of course be better designers but also to be better humans. Her initiatives with World Elders Day, Spastic society, Indian Cancer Society, JAGO, CWEI, etc give students a platform to give back to society. She has been awarded “Smt. Sushila Agarwal Memorial Award” for her exemplary services to senior citizens.
Ms. Dalal has been instrumental in creating the modern field of design studies and in raising awareness of the cultural and social significance of these disciplines.
Under the supervision of Ms. Dalal, JD Institute of Fashion Technology won several awards such as the award for leaders in education by the UK Asian Business Awards at the Congress Hall London. These awards come from the global leaders in Brand equity research and Award. As well as the Best Vocational Education Institute of the Year – Fashion Design at the 7th Indian Education Awards by the Indian Education Congress.
