A Memorable Experience Photographing for the India Luxury Foundation

Students from the JD Institute of Fashion Technology Shine on the International Stage

India has always been renowned for its luxurious textiles, intricate embroidery, and fine craftsmanship. The Indian fashion industry has considerably evolved over the years, leaving an indelible mark on the global fashion scene. Thanks to the India Luxury Foundation (ILF), this industry is now able to promote its interests and enterprises internationally, facilitating international cooperation and exchange programmes between India and global luxury leaders.

On February 23, 2023, fashion students from the esteemed JD Institute of Fashion Technology were given the opportunity to volunteer at the “India Luxury Foundation-Luxurious Calendar 2023” photoshoot at The Lalit in New Delhi. Dr. Gaurav Grover, founder and chairperson of the India Luxury Foundation (ILF), was kind enough to offer these students this invaluable opportunity.

The photoshoot featured opulent, eco-friendly designs by renowned fashion designers such as Rina Dhaka, Ruby Bhandari, and Charu Parashar. The event was enlivened by the beautiful models Deepti Gujral, Megha Sachdeva, and Kaniz Sayed, who brought the elegant designs to life. The fashion students contributed to the arranging of the garments and assisted with the hair, makeup, and overall appearance of the models during the shoot.

This experience was a turning point for the students, providing them with hands-on training and the opportunity to collaborate with renowned designers and models. Working side-by-side with industry experts, the students were able to benefit from their knowledge and experience. It was a rewarding and enlightening experience that will undoubtedly shape their fashion industry endeavours in the future.
