On June 2nd, 2021 JD Institute held an online session, with Dr.Tamanna Chaturvedi as the guest speaker, for its students. A well known face in the world of Foreign Trade Policy making, Dr. Chaturvedi is a professor at IIFT in the same field. With years of experience in policy making, she has now been supporting the government towards foreign trade policy making, putting across industry viewpoints during the process. Not only this, she also handholds companies to fine tune their business processes in sync with the respective policies.

She has also been instrumental in setting up the MSME incubation cell at the institute, which acts as one stop solution towards creating and mentoring export startups across various business challenges in the transition process from local to global. The aim of this cell itself is to take domestic businesses to global markets. In that context, she has been mentor to Vedic-incarnations which was conceptualized at IIFT

Apart from policy making, she also has a key role as an advisor to HUTK, an export startup. HUTK is a firm committed to promoting diverse Indian folk art forms in global markets. It provides them with design and conceptual innovation with time. Amongst the plethora of similar initiatives mushrooming in this domain, HUTK becomes unique by synchronizing this social cause with health and environment thus contributing to the UN Sustainable Development goals of eliminating poverty, promoting good health, well-being and Climate Action

Students were inspired by her presence and intellect. They were keen on taking notes of all the valuable advice and actively participated in discussion with Dr. Chaturvedi, turned the event into a huge success.
