I have experienced the 3Fs of London and I couldnt have had more fun with that. Fashion, Faculty and Food! My perspective about fashion has totally changed after my visit to London. Also, it has definitely taught me about diverse lifestyles and personalities.
I explored fashion like never before in my London trip. We came up with a dramatic character – ‘Cat Woman’. Exploring London streets, malls and fashion was such an amazing experience, I can never forget.
It was so much fun sourcing the clothes and accessories for the look we wanted for our theme. Halloween was around the corner and we thought of styling our model with just a touch of it. My London diaries are my biggest inspiration.
My best experience was attending London Fashion Week, it was just incredible. For the London project, I remember being excited for the Le Smoking tuxedo which is a controversial statement of femininity and thus it has revolutionized trousers.
Our faculties in London supported us in every possible way. I have gained a lot of knowledge from the historic architecture of Victoria and Albert Museum. My visit to Camden Market with my friends was just extraordinary.
In London, being a total beginner, I developed a better understanding of the different aspects of outfits. From my experience, London is a perfect binding of past and present, a city with so many places to visit that one cannot find the time to view them all.
It has taught me how to tackle the ever emerging, exciting and challenging Industry. There are so many places we visited, that enhanced our personality and made the creative juices flowing again in us. All we need to do is just get out of our comfort zone and soak up a different environment, in order to inspire and get inspired.
One thing that changed my perspective towards styling is choose one criteria of styling either shape or color. My mentor in London was wearing brown checkered jumpsuit, leopard print shirt, brown colour mufler, one thing was common in her styling was the COLOUR which she followed and the utmost thing in styling is how one can carry the whole look with confidence.
My thought process has totally changed about fashion and clothing. After coming from London, I have become more creative with my work and I gained knowledge of how to play with colors shapes and hitting the targets. One must go to JD LONDON, because it’s not the thing to be missed. It is the amazing experience one could ever have in a lifetime.
Whether you are new to London or a born and bred local, you can always find design inspiration in the British Capital. From internationally renowned museums to hidden corner cafés, the streets are filled with a fascinating clash of past and present—from cutting edge design and the latest fashion to grand architecture and ancient typefaces.
We had a lot of fun while learning various details about our Fashion Styling in London. We enjoyed the trip especially the manner in which the details were explained. I and my friends were highly vetted students handpicked by our curators and mentors to make sure the group learning, networking and fun quotients are balanced.
JD London gave us a remarkable experience of a month long intensive London and Scotland tour. The intensive course covered workshops, talks, networking and curated visits to studios, fashion weeks, boutiques that enabled experiential learning for me and my team.
My London tour was overwhelming with culture and cuisine from across the globe, creating a completely unique student experience. I am thankful to my mentors for giving me the best of knowledge in Fashion Styling.
It was one of the most moving and visually captivating journeys with tremendous amount of learning which is irreplaceable by any other institution that provides International design tours.
